I'm sure all one of you that read this are disappointed but have no fear. I have a new entry. As far as my weight loss goes, I am at 210 lbs. about 7 down from my last post. I still work out and am even fitting into some old clothes. What really sucks about this run at losing weight is that I seem to be losing a lot of weight in my legs and not dropping it as quickly on my upper body this time. I wanna lose my gut more than my butt. both are big but one of them I have a better view of. It's really hard to keep up with all this and have a life. What with all the new social networking of Twitter and my new search for a house to buy I have been quite busy.bearlovesbunnyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12459811944523205051noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8562721389548131131.post-34511422400006471352009-04-17T13:52:00.001-07:002009-04-17T13:57:08.544-07:00I'm still at it...So, it's been a really long time since I posted on here. I'm still very much working on my weight loss goals. I am currently 217... still. My surgery has taken longer to heal than I expected. I have been able to do cardio but at certain times had to take a week here and there off because so healing issues. I should be able to start lifting next week and with that hopefully some more weight loss and some pictures will follow along with it. 185 here I comebearlovesbunnyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12459811944523205051noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8562721389548131131.post-24930944793309534882009-02-20T10:24:00.000-08:002009-02-20T10:27:24.389-08:00new goalI just read an article about weight loss and it said the 5-8 lbs a month is the healthiest goal. So with that in mind my goal for this month is 8lbs. Even with Valentine's day and my birthday in there. This one might be a little tough. Oh and I have to have surgery on March 9th to remove a cyst which will put me out of commission for a week. Guess I better bust my booty right on off.bearlovesbunnyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12459811944523205051noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8562721389548131131.post-10598214943708285962009-02-18T12:39:00.000-08:002009-02-18T12:58:23.645-08:00A one month update.Well it has been 4 weeks since I started my quest and I can say that I am 8 lbs down. Which is a great start. Unfortunately I did not make my goal of 10lbs this month. That sucks but I can only work harder this time. So now I'm at 219. I have pictures which I promised to post but I think I am going to hold off on posting pics until the two month. I want to do this because the pics aren't really that drastic. I can see some differences upon examination but it's not anything to post I think. My belly is smaller and my arms have trimmed down. My man boobs are little smaller which is always a great thing. Some old clothes are starting to fit again and I'm feeling good again. I can run a mile without feeling overly winded again which is a huge plus. I'm running a mile time of 8:34 which is pretty good for me. I know before I started this it was about 10:04 so that is much improved. I'm doing a fat burning lifting routine I found for the next four weeks to switch things up. It's 3 supersets of cardio lifting that is pretty hardcore. I like it so far but the squats on the trial run last week put me out of the gym for 4 days. So this is the first official week. It's hard because when you superset you don't rest in between exercises and the gym is so packed that it's hard to find a way around people during weekday workouts. It's really annoying and I want spring to come so the joggers and resolutioners fall off the wagon so I can have some space.bearlovesbunnyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12459811944523205051noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8562721389548131131.post-16094981584491166252009-02-11T11:41:00.000-08:002009-02-11T11:52:41.743-08:00ohh diets are funSo I said that I would line out my diet on here. I don't follow an exact plan on a daily basis because I have to have some variety. So most days start with a 3 egg whites 1 whole egg scramble with a piece of whole wheat toast or a packet of oatmeal to go and a banana (I will be switching the oatmeal to go to a more healthy oatmeal bar). My breakfasts vary a lot because I have trouble getting out of bed in time to cook eggs. My snack between lunch is normally either an oatmeal to go or some almonds or a banana if I didn't have one for breakfast. Snacks are tough because it's already a stretch for me to get my lunch together. Lunch is normally a chicken breast with steamed veggies or a tuna sandwich with veggies. Maybe I'll throw in a turkey burger in there once in a while. Afternoon snack varies greatly from almonds and cottage cheese to pretzels or oatmeal to go. I'll be honest I need to really prepare better snacks. Pre work out snack is normally some yogurt or a pb&j sandwich. I have no real pattern for dinner because I don't always prepare it. I'm a little more free with my dinners. The idea is 6 small meals a day. I also will throw in protein shakes where snacks are depending on the day. Anyway that's mostly my diet.. I welcome any advice.bearlovesbunnyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12459811944523205051noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8562721389548131131.post-69029279949636533762009-02-03T06:03:00.000-08:002009-02-03T06:08:38.371-08:00So I weighed last night and I'm 4lbs down. I should be excited about this but I weighed last Monday and I was the same 4 down. I'm kinda confused because I actually worked harder this last week than the week before. It's funny how that works out. I did have a bad superbowl night. I ate a little too much shrimp boil and probably too much beer. I'm gonna keep working but it was just a bummer. So my weight is 223... well like 222.8 but I round up. I'm gonna continue to work hard and hopefully make my month goal of 10lbs. The good news is I'm almost half way there and I didn't gain anything.bearlovesbunnyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12459811944523205051noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8562721389548131131.post-33561809983272697792009-01-31T10:33:00.000-08:002009-01-31T10:38:28.897-08:00updateSo I did my first spin class this morning and loved it. It was intense and ridiculously hard but it was great to push myself harder than I ever have. The diet has been going well. I haven't been perfect but it's easier to keep on it if you give yourself some leeway here and there. I will be weighing myself on Monday and posting that weight. I know already that I have lost weight because I weigh myself on a weekly basis but I'm interested to see if I kept if up this week. That's all for now.bearlovesbunnyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12459811944523205051noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8562721389548131131.post-11279230342979409292009-01-19T17:26:00.000-08:002009-01-19T17:35:49.614-08:00Week 1

So this is me at the beginning of my new quest to get in better shape. What's more motivating than having pics of you with your shirt off for all ten of you to see. My weight at the time of this pic is 227 lbs. I will be taking pics monthly and weighing every two weeks. My diet and exercise routine will be posted at some point. My goal for the end of the first month is 10lbs. I just want accountability for my actions and I think this blog will become a bit of journal. It's more for me than it is for anyone else, so if I offend or gross you out I apologize.bearlovesbunnyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12459811944523205051noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8562721389548131131.post-12575250109717793222008-12-02T13:51:00.000-08:002008-12-02T13:56:30.605-08:00FAT!!!!So I looked at my reflection in glass at the gym yesterday after cardio and decided that I have let myself go once again. It's really hard to gain back weight you lost. Not really hard to do just hard to go through. I hate it. I hate not fitting in clothes. I hate man boobs and I hate feeling out of shape when I worked so hard to get in shape. I wanna be back at 195 but don't know if I have the discipline to do it again. It's a huge commitment and I love food a little too much. So once again I will commit myself to try and hopefully I don't get derailed next week by a cold or some other stupid thing.bearlovesbunnyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12459811944523205051noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8562721389548131131.post-55261030816205115822008-11-19T11:30:00.000-08:002008-11-19T11:42:18.417-08:00My Favorite Winter albumsSo you know how an album can totally capture a time of year? Well let me be the first to say I love coffee and I love.. DARK beer. I don't drink that nasty light or lite beer. I don't drink nasty gas station coffee. I'm particular. I think anyone who drinks those beers is not in any way shape or form drinking them because of taste. A good oatmeal stout, now that has flavor. I could go into the whole christian element right now and debate whether alcohol is wrong. As someone who used to consider it wrong I can understand your point of view. If you abuse it then it can be a totally bad thing. But the bible warns of the abuse and being held captive by it. If I'm addicted to fast food or tv or caffine it would have the same effect on my life. It would suck time, money, and enjoyment out of it. So this is my stance. I am old and smart enough to regulate myself, I don't get drunk, I don't drink excessively, and it would be out of the ordinary for me to drink 5 beers in a month. But enough of all that. I do really enjoy coffee. I love sipping it on a winter morning while I'm relaxing and taking my morning slow. Unfortunately I have allowed myself to become a little too fond of Starbucks mochas. I love them and I want them all the time. Is that so wrong? Probably since they cost 3 or 4 bucks depending on size. It's all Davy Rudolph's fault. He introduced me to the devil. I didn't even like hot drinks at Starbucks. See how it can twist something so pure?

on a different note this blog has been a little too serious so far. I think I need to have more fun...bearlovesbunnyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12459811944523205051noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8562721389548131131.post-34191584774215571282008-11-17T10:27:00.001-08:002008-11-17T10:36:40.944-08:00did you know....???that there is a place called Spread Eagle, Wisconsin? Seriously it exsists... Look it up on google. How do you not change the name of that town over the course of time? This is just one of the many great things I find on applications sent into work. Also, is it morbid to read death certificates? I can't not look at a death cert when it comes in. Even worse, when it's a natural death I get disappointed. Anything short of a shark attack or guy falling off a rock while retrieving a golf ball is dissapointing. But after a guy who's legal name was Cool Joe Cool (no joke.. death certs are official) and he dies riding a motorcycle it's all downhill from there. The cheesiest one I've had that just displays how much I love a bad joke was Herbert Mantooth DDS. Well, I thought it was funny but in my defense it was 2am.bearlovesbunnyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12459811944523205051noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8562721389548131131.post-91674670826506982008-11-17T10:16:00.001-08:002008-11-17T10:16:54.750-08:00the Kings of Leon- Only By the NightNever hit tab on facebook.... a wonderful lesson I learned while writing this note. So now that I'm typing this the second time you won't get the briliance I once had prepared for you thanks to the ridiculous fact that if you hit tab on facebook it aparently sends you back to the previous page....I first heard The Kings of Leon while working for American Eagle. Every couple months they change out a disc of about three hours of songs for (sometimes) a new batch. When you hear the same songs over and over again some grow on you and you decide to go check out the artist. The Kings were one of the many bands I ended up checking out because of their selection. The are also one of the only ones I still listen to. Mainly because of their growth from album to album which is a quality that seems so rare these days. When I first heard the kings they were unlike any band I was listening to at the time. They had this great southern sound with catchy songs and great musicianship. Nevermind the fact that I couldn't understand the lyrics or make sense of the ones I could understand. It was just a fun band to listen to, no need for lyrical depth. With their new album Only by the Night out only a year or so after their previous release I wondered what kind of album they could really make in that short amount of time. Many bands have turned around right after a succesful album and released crap to make more money. So my immediate reaction was well they found success over in Brittain with Because of the Times so the must have decided to cash in on their success there. I'm about three full listens into Only by the Night I can honeslty say it's not what I expected. It's even better than Because... For the first time on a Kings album the lyrics make sense (for the most part). You can understand Caleb Followills vocals. I actually have always enjoyed Calebs southern draw and his vocal stylings. It's one of the things that makes the band unique, but he adds clarity to his melodies and really puts a lot more touch on his annunciation. The sounds are more polished but not in a "studio" way. Their evolution from a southern rock band to one of the best indie bands out there has been etched by spacey delay ridden guitars and great melodies. The Kings of Leon are emerging as one of my favorite bands. Strictly based on their ability to grow with each record and not getting in that rut of making the same album or songs over. "Use Somebody" for sure has to be their second single for sure. This song has the ability to cross over to multiple tastes in music and could really put them in a place to gain some momentum here in America in addition to their huge success in England and abroad. I'm not going to go through the album track by track because well, I've accomplished my goal of having something to do at work. So, my suggestion is that if you were on the fence about The Kings of Leon, or you have never heard them. Then go check out Only Because of the Night because dare I say... I think it might be my favorite album of 08.

////bbearlovesbunnyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12459811944523205051noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8562721389548131131.post-13610487910653969442008-11-17T10:02:00.000-08:002008-11-17T10:03:20.794-08:00so I have a blog nowthis blog is a direct result of work being incredibly boring when working the day shift. more to come...bearlovesbunnyhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/12459811944523205051noreply@blogger.com1
